Rolling Stone Magazine about show in Pomona

Standing onstage last night at the Fox Theater in Pomona, California, Hayley Williams told a capacity crowd that she’d been yearning for nearly a year to say the words she was about to say. Her big reveal? “We are Paramore.”
Williams was leading the pop-punk band through its first show since last September, a sold-out warm-up gig before Paramore heads to the U.K. for a handful of dates including the Reading and Leeds festivals. And though part of her excitement was probably attributable to cabin fever – she and her bandmates have been working in a Los Angeles studio on Paramore’s fourth album – Williams also was acknowledging the break-up rumors that have swirled around the group since late 2010, when guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro left in a storm of accusations regarding the band’s direction and authenticity.

2012 Tour: Pomona, CA

Yesterday, on August 14th Paramore kicked off their mini 2012 tour! The band performed live at The Fox Theater in Pomona, CA. This show was the first concert that Paramore played this year and, as for now, the only one planned to take place in U.S. As Hayley mentioned in the latest blog-update, the setlist for this evening was full of older, a bit dusty songs like “Fences” and “Hallelujah” but fans were also able to hear new ones like “Hello Cold World” or “Renegade”from 2011 Singles Club EP. Paramore welcomed fans with “Brick By Boring Brick” and following the tradition ended the show playing “Misery Business.”  Check out our TOUR section for more videos, facts and setlist information! Click on the thumbnail to see the gallery!
